The best word I can use to describe this film is mechanical. Whenever you sit back and watch some complicated piece of machinery doing its thing, you just can’t peel your eyes away because of how fascinating it is to watch. Although, on the other side, it’s pretty hard to get emotionally invested while watching the coke bottling machine... Tenet has some mind blowing visuals and effects to display which is per usual for Chris Nolan, but he really seemed to step up his game for this one. Not to mention the fact that the exhilaration felt in this movie is beyond anything I've seen in a while. I felt like I was about to break the arm rest from how tightly I was clenching it sometimes. Sucks that the main character is a block of wood with no curiosity or humanity in him whatsoever, cause it would've really helped the action sequences if I could connect with him just a bit more. Overall a solid 7/10, I liked the cold and distant feel it was going for along with the special effects being top notch, but I could've done with a little more heart and personality.

The textbook definition of overcompensation My favorite character was the high school orchestra that was blasting my ears in during the most convoluted and mundane action scenes I’ve seen in a while. I also enjoyed when they were shushed but the teacher just as soon as nothing was happening on screen. Wow great job Tom cruise, you were such a great performance in that one scene where you were supposed to show emotion. I really felt that… Live, Die, Repeat? More like, Live, Die, Asleep. That joke was about as entertaining as this movie…
